Hello,

 

My name is Bridget and I love my job as a florist and anything to do with flowers!

After spending many years working as a Dental Hygienist, I decided to change careers and become a florist by going to college where I gained the City & Guilds Diploma with Distinction in Floristry. I thoroughly enjoyed the course & once I had qualified, I  retired from dentistry & set up a studio at home to become a wedding & events florist. I was honoured to have been given the Most Outstanding Student Award and I also came first in the Student Newcomer category in the South West regional heats of the Chelsea Florist of The Year Competition for 2018.  I am now studying to do Level Three Advanced Floristry.  

 

I like to source my flowers & foliage from local growers whenever I can to reduce travel miles and support our local  flower farmers. When this isn't possible, I contact a local wholesaler who can acquire the finest quality flowers for me.

So, here I am. My Flower Shed is based in Clayhidon in the beautiful Blackdown Hills in Devon and I live here with my two dogs & two tortoises and I have the most amazing views from my cottage.
